Silver Pony-foot "Silver Surfer" (Kidneyweed, Silver Dichondra) - Dichondra argentea.
The exceptionally decorative silver foliage looks great in flowerpots and balcony boxes.
An excellent groundcover plant, absolutely unpretentious, resistant to weather conditions and the main types of diseases. Height 90 cm (trailing).
A perennial, grown in open ground as an annual. Sowing for seedlings, seeds are lightly sprinkled with earth. Soil with a reaction: pH 5.5-6.5.
Germination temperature +22+24°C. It is necessary to maintain high soil moisture, performing periodic spraying.
Sowing Instructions: sow January to April on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Lightly cover the seed with a sprinkle of fine grade vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between +21+23 °C. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged (until germination which usually takes 5-10 days).
